ChequeGuru ("we", "our", or "the software") is a desktop cheque printing application for Windows. We take your privacy seriously — and by design, almost all of your data never leaves your computer.
2. Data stored locally on your computer
All data you enter into ChequeGuru is stored in a local database on your computer. This includes:
- Payee names and bank account numbers
- Company names and account details
- Cheque history and printed records
- Bank account and chequebook configurations
This data is never transmitted to our servers. It remains entirely under your control on your local machine. You can back it up, move it, or delete it at any time using the tools in the application.

We collect limited information to operate the website and license system:
Website visitors
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, referrers, approximate location) to understand how the site is used. No personally identifiable information is collected via analytics.
Purchase information
When you purchase a license, your name, email address, and payment information are collected and processed by our payment processor (Paddle). We receive confirmation of the purchase and your email address for license delivery. We do not store payment card details.
License activation
When you activate ChequeGuru with a license key, the key is verified against our licensing server. No cheque data or payee information is sent during activation.
Support requests
When you contact us for support, we collect your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request.
